Google has banned alot of directories and it is still going on.The directories which have been phrasing dmoz are surly on the hit side of Google.

On this URL, a few days ago, There are over 360 sites listed here making use of ODP data...

All were sites recognized by the DMOZ. Now i have seen that Dmoz also removed those sites and if you will see that this page has been given PR-0 by google....So it is clear that google is banning DMOZ data websites

Yes I have seen also the listings on the category wise have been removed but on the whole index the sites are still listed.

So, I checked the link, but they don't say anything about the "why's"... What do you think? Another question: what will be the role of directories if this war is carried on? Won't they lose their significance?

Google do not want to transfer PR from Dmoz to directories listed there which Google thinks they sell by listing ( selling of PR by listing)
