What are the News Feeds & RSS Feed

    What are the News Feeds?
The News feeds are a free information resource you can use to add the current News as headlines on your site, free of charge. You may also feed news directly to your desktop with an RSS reader/aggregator. The news feed comes in XML/RSS feeds, JavaScript and HTML/iFrame versions.

    What are RSS feeds?
RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. RSS is a format for syndicating news feeds using XML. You may be able to view this format simply using your browser or through a RSS reader/aggregator. To use these feeds on your site you will need a parser. Parsers are available in many languages.

RSS means Really Simply Syndication. It is a simple XML format that allows you to share your news headlines and other web content with other sites. Basically, RSS allows you to distribute your "What's new" section to other web sites quickly and easily.

RSS is used by many popular web sites such as CNN, Forbes, Motley Fool and the BBC. Yahoo allows its users to quickly add RSS feeds to their MyYahoo service.

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.
