Yahoo - regional listing successes?

I am wondering if anyone here has had success with getting into a regional yahoo lately? They are still free and my client wants me to try that route first. What are your experiences? My client feels that if they cannot get into regional how could the possibly get into the main Yahoo.

Geting a site listed in the regional yahoo is better and has good chances of been approved.But again to get listed in any yahoo the title and description should be according to the prescribed guidlines and patterns.
