According to me directory submission are very essential to increase back links. In general it gives us permanent back links However they need time to get approval. I think we have to do Directory submission for batter result.

Yes thats true directory submission is very old and gold techniques which is used to build backlinks. Many are giving instant apporval and permanent link.
