I want to share my negative experiences in this new quest of building my website and promoting it. Most link exchange programs actually stink - I would welcome suggestions for something worth looking at.
This time I want to share with you my bad experince with WebRings (http://dir.webring.com/rw).
When you sign up for webrings, there is (I am absolutely sure) a page explaining where you can place their html code. Two of the options are to include it at the "links" page. This is what I did.
Then I had to contact their support for another reason and they demanded that I place a link to webrings ON MY HOME PAGE.
I think this is ridiculous.
