USAID, Humanity United and OpenIDEO have partnered to pursue ways to prevent m*** atrocities – that is, deliberate m*** violence against civilians. Imagine you were being targeted for or witnessing such atrocities, which sadly include genocide, ethnic cleansing and rape. How could others know so that they might help you and others at risk? Addressing the factors which allow such m*** deliberate violence to happen can be complex. But there are ways that we, as the OpenIDEO community, can help.

Following the selection of winning concepts, Humanity United and USAID will work together to convene key voices, experts and practitioners on atrocity prevention to meet with winners and selected challenge contributors in order to further develop innovations and potentially help pilot these ideas in specific country contexts.
